Bio
Illustrator and comic artist, Rodrigo de Freitas was one of the founders of the comic strip website Barba do Bardo in 2014, a period in which he began his career as a comic artist and published the books Cavaleiros da Taverna Redonda (2015) and Profession Super-Hero (2016).
Graduated in Visual Arts at Belas Artes in São Paulo, he was nominated for the HQMIX Award in the categories Web Strips (2016 and 2017), Publication of Humor (2017), National Colorist and National Finalist (2019).

In 2018, after a successful crowdfunding campaign in Catarse, he published Elo , his first comic book without texts, which had its official launch at CCXP 2018 .

This year, he had the pleasure of participating in the Petrus project (by Gabriel Arrais), making all the art of the comic.
Currently, he continues his work in the independent comic book scene in Brazil, working on the continuation of his HQ Diorama 7 , a universe of science fiction created in mid-2018 that will contain five volumes published annually. Volume 2 is in campaign in Catarse and will be launched now in December.

Diorama 7 is a science fiction story that takes place in a strange world, dominated by the empty gaze of a being that observes everything: the Devourer.

Diorama 7

Petrus
Petrus is a comic that addresses, among other topics, the impact of bullying on our society.
We accompany Petrus, a friendly little pig who suffers from bad jokes made by the other animals on the farm where he lives, simply because he can't look at the sky.
With release this year, script by Gabriel Arrais and art made by me, we will see if Petrus will finally be able to look at the sky and prove to everyone that we can build a better place to live.

Link is my first comic strip without texts, a tale about the importance of each link that surrounds us.

History shows the difficult moment of a mountain village, when the trees start to dry and the long winter does not stop. Guided by a leaf in the wind, a father and his son set out in search of hope, deep in the snow. Every gesture, every feeling and every attitude can forever transform every link in your life.
Profession Superhero
The series Profession Super-Hero appeared in the weekly strips of the site Barba do Bardo . Making skits with the superheroes we love so much.
In 2016, after the successful crowdfunding campaign, it was possible to publish the book with the compilation of the best web strips, in addition to exclusive extras for this publication.
Knights of the Round Tavern
This series of humor appeared through weekly comic strips published on the website Barba do Bardo , in which I am one of the founders. The strips make humor using the universe of RPG games and medieval fantasy.
After a successful crowdfunding campaign, it was possible to publish the book compiling the best strips on the web. In addition, an unprecedented comic book with the characters of the series was added, where we followed the hero Paladino in his first steps in search of XP.
